Seership

Seership is the divine gift held by a seer, who is “a revelator and a prophet also.” Ammon told Limhi that a seer can “know of things which are past, and also of things which are to come” (Mosiah 8:13-17).

Ammon said that a man commanded to look in interpreters is called a seer, and that the king in Zarahemla had this gift from God. The interpreters were used to translate ancient records, and the two stones fastened in bow rims were prepared “for the purpose of interpreting languages” (Mosiah 8:13-17; Mosiah 28:11-14).
