Seeds are items gathered as “seeds of every kind,” including seeds of grain and fruit. Those preparing to go into the wilderness took “seed of every kind” with their provisions (1 Nephi 16:11).
Those who brought seeds from the land of Jerusalem “began to plant seeds” and put all their seeds into the earth; they “did grow exceedingly” (1 Nephi 18:24). Another group tilled the ground with seeds of corn, wheat, barley, neas, sheum, and fruits (Mosiah 9:9).
