Herds

Herds are groups of animals. After sowing seed and reaping again, “we began to raise flocks, and herds, and animals of every kind” (2 Nephi 5:11).

King Limhi’s people departed by night into the wilderness, taking “their flocks and their herds”. Ammon and his brethren led them toward the land of Zarahemla (Mosiah 22:11).

A speaker said, “we at this time do pay tribute to the king of the Lamanites”. The tribute included “one half of the increase of our flocks and our herds” (Mosiah 7:22).

People took “all their flocks, and their herds, and their grain, and all their substance” to the appointed place. They marched forth by thousands and by tens of thousands (3 Nephi 3:22).
