Amulek’s House is the home in which Amulek received Alma and fed him during Alma’s stay. While traveling to visit kindred, Amulek was told by an angel, “return to thine own house, for thou shalt feed a prophet of the Lord.” The angel said that Alma had “fasted many days” and was hungry, and commanded Amulek to “receive him into thy house and feed him” (Alma 10:7).
Amulek obeyed and returned toward his house, and while going there he found the man whom the angel had said he would receive (Alma 10:8). Amulek brought forth “bread and meat and set before Alma,” and Alma ate, blessed Amulek and his house, and gave thanks unto God (Alma 8:21–22). Alma later dwelt at Amulek’s house, and Amulek said that Alma had blessed his house, his women, children, father, and kindred (Alma 10:10–11).
