This was not an interdenominational conflict, but rather a disagreement among believers. Therefore, those proposing young children’s baptisms were also contrary to the order of the church. We have no information about the other ten apostles, but these two, at least, opposed the practice. It is in that context that we should see Mormon’s vehemence against those who were preaching it.
