Moroni cited the words of his father, Mormon. Mormon delivered one of the great discourses recorded in the scriptures to members of the Church, “the peaceable followers of Christ.” Some members had obtained sufficient hope to be able to enter into the rest of the Lord. “The rest here referred to is not physical rest, for there is no such thing as physical rest in the Church of Jesus Christ.”4 The rest of the Lord is “the fulness of his glory” (D&C 84:24).
