Why was it important for Coriantumr to live to see the fulfillment of the Lord’s promise?

Thomas R. Valletta

“Coriantumr and Shiz shared the last scene together. Ether, looking on secretly from his hiding place, saw Coriantumr behead Shiz in a memorably gory scene, after which Coriantumr fell to the earth ‘as if he had no life.’ (Ether 15:32.) But he was not dead, as the Lord foresaw. Coriantumr appeared again among the Mulekites as one who pathetically straddled that tradition from a fallen group to a new chosen people. (Omni 1:21)” (Thomas, “More Excellent Way,” 280).
