The Hill Ramah and the Hill Cumorah are the same hill where both the Jaredites and Nephites fought their final battles. Ramah is the Jaredite name given to the “same hill where my father Mormon did hide up the records” (Ether 15:11). During the final battles of the Jaredites between Coriantumr and Shiz, the armies of Coriantumr “pitch their tents by the hill Ramah” and here gathered the people for four years (Ether 15:11, 14). However, hundreds of years later after the destruction of the Jaredites, it became known to the Nephites as the Hill Cumorah where they too were destroyed as a people (see Mormon 6:2–11; 8:2).
