Moroni notes that all of the examples of faith that he has given were of men who had lived prior to the earthly mission of the Messiah. However, even those who lived after the time that the Savior had come still exercised faith. The examples he gives of those who had faith after the appearance of the Savior was the three Nephites who “obtained a promise that they should not taste of death.” As noted, Moroni would be particularly well acquainted with the faith of these three, for they had ministered to him and to his father (Mormon 8:11).
