Moroni closes this chapter with amen, because he is testifying to the truth of what he has just declared. Interestingly, he also states, in a negatively introduced statement, that he has authority from God ”for these things” of which he declared. Humankind might wonder about his authority, but when we present ourselves before God in our judgment, we will know for certain that he did have that authority.
