“Repent All Ye Ends of the Earth, and Come Unto Me; Blessed is He That is Found Faithful Unto My Name at the Last Day, for He Shall Be Lifted Up”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

Consider the priceless merit of the message contained in these pages of the Book of Mormon. We are given compelling evidence that the Lord will answer our prayers and guide us on life’s journey if we will but exercise faith and obey His commandments. By analogy with the singularly remarkable experience of the brother of Jared, we are promised that we can see with the vision of faith and behold the mysteries of God reserved for the valiant. We are taught to hear the voice of warning and discern the voice of wisdom as reflected in this extraordinary source of truth.

Specifically, in regard to prayer, we learn that this principle is an indispensable part of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is an eternal application of devotion and action that enables one to receive answers to prayers and to perceive and know God. We also learn from the example of the brother of Jared that it is indeed a sin not to call upon our God in fervent and faithful prayer. Our prayers can be answered. As we seek to believe, we can receive manifestations of the Spirit and be led to that which is good: “I am the same that leadeth men to all good” (Ether 4:12).
