Here is a choice rule of life: not to condemn the Lord’s anointed because of their imperfections, but to thank the Lord that He has allowed us to discern the fact that they are human—just as we are—and to go beyond that with a commitment to be more wise, in our own way, than even they have been. The same holds true in the family circle. We can all too readily find fault with parents and other loved ones. But instead of dwelling on such faults and weaknesses, why can we not go beyond that and learn useful lessons on how to improve our own lives and do better than those who have gone before?
