Moroni argues for the continuation of revelation and spiritual gifts by appealing to Yahweh’s unchanging nature. These gifts came from Yahweh and were therefore of God. They could cease only if Yahweh, their author, changed. Since Yahweh cannot change, he cannot cease to do what he has done before. Therefore, believers will continue to enjoy the gifts that Yahweh bestowed on people of old.
