Mormon’s vision of the coming forth of his text had been generic (Morm. 3:17–22); but Moroni makes it specific and human. The book does not, by unspecified means, “come forth,” but a human being “bring[s] this thing to light.” Moroni understands this person’s great role in events of the final days and blesses him for his good work. The text will come forth “out of darkness,” bringing human beings out of darkness into Yahweh’s light.
