The Lamanites had amassed huge armies. No doubt they enjoyed great celebrations after wiping the Nephites off the face of the earth. But what good is an experienced army if there are no more battles to fight? The Lamanites had a solution, for their bloodthirsty nature would turn them upon their fellow Lamanites in one continual round of murder and bloodshed.
