“If Ye Believe That Ye Will Believe This Also”
Nephi wrote: “And now, my beloved brethren, and also Jew, and all ye ends of the earth, hearken unto these words and believe in Christ; and if ye believe not in these words believe in Christ. And if ye shall believe in Christ ye will believe in these words, for they are the words of Christ, and he hath given them unto me; and they teach all men that they should do good.” (2 Nephi 33:10, italics added.) That is to say, a true Christian, one who is open to the revelation of the Spirit, one who loves the Lord and seeks earnestly to know his mind and will, will recognize and acknowledge the Spirit which illuminates the pages of the Book of Mormon to be the Spirit of God, the same Spirit which breathes life and meaning into the pages of the Bible.
