Mormon, realizing the ascendancy of the Lamanites, and that no longer could he rely on any form of order, went to the Hill Shim where Ammaron had hid them from the Lamanites, and took all the records to a safer place of concealment. Mormon does not say whereunto he took them, but they eventually found their way to the Hill Cumorah.
