“There Were Other Disciples Ordained in Their Stead”
There are principles of priesthood government which allow the kingdom of God on earth to be perpetuated beyond the death of Apostles; we would suppose that the principles of apostolic succession were thus in effect among the Nephites, as they were among the Christians in Jerusalem (see Acts 1:15-26) and as they are in the Church today.
