This verse continues the pronouncement of “wo” upon unbelievers. Mormon characterizes those who reject the Book of Mormon as those who also reject the God of miracles, revelation, prophecy, spiritual gifts, and “the power of the Holy Ghost.” They are among the wicked in the last days. Moroni will later speak to future unbelievers with this same catalog of gifts of the Spirit, in a slightly different order: “And again I speak unto you who deny the revelations of God, and say that they are done away, that there are no revelations, nor prophecies, nor gifts, nor healing, nor speaking with tongues, and the interpretation of tongues” (Morm. 9:7).
