What can Mormon’s experience teach us about receiving personal revelation?

Thomas R. Valletta

In 3 Nephi 28:17, Mormon had a question he did not know the answer to. What did Mormon do about his question in the interval between verse 17 and verses 36–37? Why do you suppose that even prophets are not given the answers to all their questions right when the question comes up? How would you apply this experience to those who think that because God did not answer their question right away, they will never get an answer? What can you do to be more ready to receive your own answers?
