An additional prophecy by Isaiah (and repeated here by the Savior) concerns the gathering of the house of Israel in the last days. Isaiah warns the house of Israel that after they are gathered together, the nations of the earth "shall surely gather together against thee, not by me; whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. . . . No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper." (3 Nephi 22:15, 17.) Some biblical scholars have assumed that the prophecies in Isaiah were fulfilled before the coming of Jesus Christ. However, the fact that the Savior quotes these prophecies from Isaiah 54 and relates them to the events of the last days would indicate they pertain to the dispensation of the fulness of times.
