In that day the Father, for the sake of the Son, will do a work that shall be great and marvelous among them and to such a degree that kings will stand silent in awe and wonderment.
A man shall be raised up to declare that work, but some will not believe his message. (v. 9) The Lord's "servant" will be persecuted and "marred" but not killed, for His life will be in the hand of God, who will heal Him. (v. 10)
