One like unto Moses would come (Deuteronomy 18:15–19). Moses was a great deliverer and lawgiver. To fulfill Moses’ prophecy, the Mighty One of Israel, the Lord Jesus Christ, did come, and he was the great Lawgiver and Deliverer (see Joseph Smith–History 1:40). There are few passages that are quoted as many times in as many books of scripture and in as many contexts as Deuteronomy 18:15 (15–19). It is one of the most powerful testimonies of Christ in the scriptures. The Savior himself quoted it. And yet we do not seem to use it much in our day. We wonder why not.
