The Savior had admonished the people to “search” Isaiah but had not mentioned Micah. Perhaps he intended his instructions to concentrate their attention on Isaiah, and it was not related to other scriptural quotations in this discourse. He draws on multiple sources without specific attributions, as was the Nephite practice. (See commentary accompanying 2 Nephi 28:9.) He expects his listeners to know their scriptures well enough to recognize the quotations.
