It is interesting that Jesus blessed his disciples and smiled upon them. In fact they were translated and appeared brilliantly white just like the Savior. This must have made a tremendous impression on the multitude to see these twelve new leaders imbued with the same radiant glory as Jesus himself. Verse 33 indicates that the multitude were witnesses to all of these events so they could bear record of them later. They were even allowed to understand the words of the prayer which could be understood but not articulated.
