The first part of this Chapter is the fundamental Law of the Kingdom of God. Concerning this we read as the word of the Lord, "Whoso remembereth these sayings of Mine and doeth them, him will I raise up at the Last Day," or as Alma expresses the same divine promise, "Whosoever putteth his trust in Him, the same shall be lifted up at the Last Day." (Mosiah 23:22) For, to trust in Him is to keep His commandments.
The Preface to the Law of Christ is the so-called Beatitudes which indicate true nature of the citizen in the Kingdom of God.
