All of this was virtually miraculous. This physical change in the Lamanites was most unusual. None of the Lamanites who had become converts in the past are known to have had this physical change take place. But after getting this good news about the Lamanites we get nothing but bad news concerning the war with the Gadiantons. In the next verse there was a temporary gain but it didn't last long.
