Because of the Lamanites’ willingness to believe if they have the right opportunity, Yahweh will preserve them until that opportunity comes. This promise to the Lamanites should give hope and courage to anyone with wayward children, relatives, or friends. The Lord is patient and knows the heart. He will judge our hearts, and “in the day of my wisdom,” the true nature of the heart will be manifest.
