Because of the willingness of the Lamanites to believe if they have the correct opportunity, the Lord will preserve them until the time that they have that opportunity. This promise to the Lamanites should give hope and courage to all of us who have wayward children, or family, or friends. The Lord is patient and knows the heart. The promise is that the Lord will judge our hearts, and it may take time for the true nature of our hearts to be manifest.
