These events are spectacular and awesome in the traditional sense of conveying awe/fear of the Almighty. Most of the Lamanites present had apparently panicked, but Aminadab not only looks to Nephi and Lehi but notices their glowing faces, “even as the faces of angels.” With his Nephite background, he understands the connection of these men to Yahweh and the supernatural meaning of this visible transfiguration. He therefore points out this remarkable phenomenon to his companions.
