“Lay Up for Yourselves a Treasure in Heaven”
The “treasure in heaven” is the kingdom in heaven (Matthew 13:44); the Church of the Firstborn (D&C 76:54); or in other words, eternal life. Laying up for ourselves a treasure in heaven means living the principles and keeping the commandments that enable one to receive that “treasure” through the grace of Jesus Christ (see Matthew 6:20; 3 Nephi 13:20; D&C 6:27).
