Everyone would like a personal invitation from God. But the invitation has been given, the opportunity availed, and the gate already opened. The responsibility is ours to respond to the invitation—’Learn of me, and listen to my words; walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me. I am Jesus Christ’ (DC 19:23-4). And, ’he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile’ (2 Nephi 26:33).
