It is interesting that Amalickiah did not even bother to join the Lamanite army in this northern adventure against the Nephites. It is also interesting that the Lamanite military leaders thought he would have ordered an attack on Ammonihah because even though it was obvious that such an attack would involve a tremendous loss of life among the Lamanites, the Lamanite leaders knew that the massive loss of life meant nothing to Amalickiah.
