From this point on the scriptural record is going to give glowing credit to Moroni for his ingenuity in defending the various Nephite cities. Since Mormon, the historian was such an admirer of Moroni -- and even named his son after the brilliant leader -- we observe that he devotes a lot of space to the tactics of Moroni and the military stratagems which he used.
