It is amazing that the Nephites who had apostatized and joined the Lamanites were almost as numerous as the Nephites who had remained faithful. These apostates had joined with the Lamanites in Antonium, the headquarters of the apostate Zoramites. But when the vast hosts of Lamanites and their allies came down to the land of Jershon they had a great surprise awaiting them. Thus we are introduced to the new young leader of the Nephites whose name was Moroni.
