This is a call to have one’s eye single to the glory of God, a call to seek first the kingdom of God, to do things the way the Lord would want them done. It is to ask oneself regularly, “What would Jesus do?” It is to ask the Lord regularly, “What wilt thou have me to do?’ More important, however, it is to be open to the impressions of the soul and the inspiration of the moment, to be guided by that sacred influence which is of Christ, that Spirit which will tell and show us all things that we should do (see 2 Nephi 32:3, 5). Life is a mission and not a camel and he who called and sent us forth to serve should be intimately involved in directing and supervising our personal ministries.”
