In order for the bowels of mercy to overpower the demands of justice, we must exercise our faith unto repentance. The phrase “faith unto repentance” appears four times in these three verses. The single most important act we do to set in motion the personal benefit of Jesus’ great atoning sacrifice is to repent of our sins.
