The message of these verses and all of chapter 34 is that the seed is the Savior and his word and work. He was, in Alma’s day, about to come into the world to suffer and die to atone for people’s sins, to provide immortality through resurrection, and to provide a fair judgment. He would redeem people, not just in the abstract “save all mankind” concept but in a literal, personal redeeming of every one of us who will look to him. If the Father has helped you to know and feel that great truth, then “your burdens may be light, through the joy of his Son.”
