The brilliance of Alma's discourse on comparing faith to a seed is that he takes an abstract, intangible concept and makes it understandable and practical. Yet, the Zoramites still wonder what they should do to begin. The answer is that they should pray (v. 3-11) and they should begin to believe in the Son of God (v. 22). The promise is that it will become a tree, springing up in you unto everlasting life. And then may God grant unto you that your burdens may be light, through the joy of his Son (v. 22).
