We are all God’s children—old and young, male and female, regardless of our circumstances. His light illuminates every soul. His Spirit invites all to come unto Him and enjoy the blessings of the gospel. He is willing to let “the doctrine of the priesthood” distill upon all the faithful “as the dews from heaven” (D&C 121:45). Very likely Alma’s crowd included all kinds—men, women, and children. His words were imparted unto all equally. And as the word of God takes root in an individual’s heart, it can resonate to others as a reflection of the light of God. Even little children can impart wisdom that confounds the wise.
