Yahweh so desires people to have faith that he communicates his gospel message “by angels” and other intermediaries. Alma is not speaking exclusively of the scriptures but rather about revelation. Revelation can come in a variety of ways—by angels, men, women, and even little children—another reason why we must be humble. Alma is not offering platitudes, but experience. He absolutely knows that Yahweh communicates through angels.
