Each day of the week is used by one or more religious groups as the "official" day of worship. In the United States, Saturday and Sunday are the major days of worship: Saturday for the Jewish groups and the Seventh-day Adventists, Sunday for the Catholic and most of the Protestant churches. The prophet Alma indicates that we should worship God at all times and should not restrict our worship of him to just one day a week. He also clearly indicates we do not have to be in a synagogue or church in order to worship God.
