“When a Man Was Dead, That Was the End”
What we believe certainly affects what we do. That is, our behavior follows directly on the heels of our beliefs. If one believes that all life ends at death, that there is no continuation of the spirit following our mortal demise, then one might as well grab for all the excitement he can while he is still breathing. It is not surprising, therefore, that nihilism, a denial of immortality, should in many cases lead to a life of immortality.
