Alma was called of God to declare repentance among the Nephites, while Ammon and his brothers and other missionaries chose to declare the same truths among the Lamanites. Each of these men magnified his calling and, in so doing, sanctified his own soul and found cause for great rejoicing in the success of his fellow servants. Each was entitled to know the fulness of the joy of the Lord.
