With the destruction of so much life on both sides and the universal sorrows of practically every family because of the loss of their loved ones, the survivors were reduced to a sense of total dependency on the Lord. How could they have allowed themselves to degenerate to this state of mass destruction when God had given them an inheritance on the choicest land on earth?
