“A Merciful Being… to Those Who Will Repent”
Alma taught that “whosoever repenteth shall find mercy; and he that findeth mercy and endureth to the end the same shall be saved” (Alma 32:13). Thus, in the full and complete sense, to obtain the mercy of the Lord is to obtain salvation. In a similar sense, the Lord said: “I, the Lord, am merciful and gracious unto those who fear me, and delight to honor those who serve me in righteousness and in truth unto the end” (D&C 76:5).
