“Unto Such It Is Given to Know the Mysteries of God”

Brant Gardner

This is the process whereby the natural man is transformed into the spiritual man. While God’s grace applies, the man himself must take the steps of repentance, altering his relationship to God. We begin far from God but make a connection, move closer, become willing to listen to his guidance. Next, we must expend even more effort in exercising faith—not simply have it but also exercise it. Our faith must work; it must be the instrument that changes us. Exercising faith results in good works. It is not the work itself that changes us, but the doing of the work. Constant prayer keeps us in our course.
