The king expresses his gratitude to God for the opportunity to repent. These royal converts have been forgiven of their sins; their guilt has been taken away through the Savior. We should never forget the blessing of the principle of repentance—a gift from God through our Savior Jesus Christ. When we repent, we receive joy, but we also bring joy to the Lord (see D&C 18:13).
