Consider the implications of what has occurred. A stranger has come onto the scene whom the queen has never seen before. He is respected and even held in awe by the servants—but the queen has not been an eyewitness to his miraculous power. Her husband, under the administration of this man, is now comatose and considered dead by many. And yet she believes the words of Ammon. That is the power of her “great faith.” That is evidence of the operation of the Spirit in this situation. The queen’s commitment and support will be an important part of the foundation being laid for the work of the gospel among the Lamanites.
