“This Is the Great Spirit of Whom Our Fathers Have Spoken”

Brant Gardner

King Lamoni accepts the servants’ evidence and draws the same conclusion as they did: Ammon cannot be a mere human; therefore, he is a manifestation of the Great Spirit and has intervened to save the servants’ lives. This was a friendly act toward the servants, and Lamoni begins to hope that Ammon is also friendly, not punitive, toward him.
